Taming the beast that nests in your hair (period) Aug 28, 2010 I know everyone has different hair tpyes so this is me: i am a white male, 30s, with hair that goes well beyond my belt line. It is wild and it hasn't been trimmed in a while. Basically, it is a knot in training. I've tried all sorts of stuff to tame it, too, with products ranging from almost every big name. What I found is the folowing.
Before doing ANYTHING,. use the Redken shampoo and conditioner types on your head. They are relatively cheap compared to their counterparts so it is worth it. Then, take some type of Baby spray for tangles. It smells good and it doesn't look wet, and it does its job perfectly. Finally, take this and put it in your hair, wait four to five minutes, then dry.
And, boom, you have a mane worth calling your own.
If you end up accidentally not getting heat glide, use that stuff in the shower. I put it in and brush it through in there, swearing by it. Since I haven't had a haircut in almost 12 years, I think this says something for the product. It says "good stuff at a good price." Personally, i swear by it.
If you don't know what type of product is good for you, Redken has a scale. That means that you can go and fidn you and you alone, and that you can fix your hair up naturally. -looking and without the madness that heat or weather brings.
No more bed head, no more fluffy pooch looks, no more crazed humid day poofs.
Its all good and Reken is the saviour I swear by. I have facial hair - if it is long, it even works in it BUT that is another matter.
excellent hair product Jun 01, 2010 Redken's Smooth Down Heat Glide is simply an excellent product that does what its name says it will -- smooths down one's hair without making it sticky or greasy.

Fantastic Product, love it! Apr 05, 2010 I have an inverted bob with chin length layers - my hair is very fine - previously damaged - not straight - not curly.
I straighten it probably four days a week. I've been using this product for a week and it's great. I only use 2 drops on towel dry hair, blow dry, and then straighten. With the product I only have to do one pass with the flat iron on each section which is great because that means less damage to my hair. I live in South Florida and this works well with keeping my hair from the humidity.
I don't usually review products but it was the reviews that made me buy it. It's a great price and it'll last quite some time.
If you aren't sure, I think they sell samples online as well!
Thanks
finally no more frizz !!!! Feb 24, 2010 I have tried so many other frizz free products but this one beats them all. My hair looks super gorgeous after flat ironing it !!! The shine is incredible and the compliments are endless !!!

A Must Have Product Oct 19, 2009 Hello there reader. I am an african american woman and I heard about this product on youtube, then longhaircareforum, and of course, Amazon. Because All of those sites raved about it I decided to try it. I just tried it today before I flat-ironed my hair and it came out smooth, straight and shiny as expected, and I am going on 6 weeks post-relaxer. Seems like a good product to help with stretching your relaxers which I am doing. Very Nice.I bought mine from Super Walmarts Hair Salon though, because I wanted it ASAP, plus it ends up being a couple dollars cheaper because of the shipping & handling on here. Im very happy I heard about it.
