Since Procter & Gamble moved production to Mexico, the product doesn't seem to be nearly as good as it used to be. The Scalp Therapy used to really tingle on my scalp and now it doesn't do anything other than just sit there. Apparently, they closed down the U.S. manufacturing plant and started producing Nioxin in Mexico. It appears to me they may have also changed the formula. Either way, I don't perceive the same thickening effect it used to have. This is unfortunate because I used to really love this product line.

This product works well on keeping my hair from thinning. It may take several months to notice a difference, but with continued use, it works. Nioxin does not irritate my scalp.

Since the product was bought out and manufacturing moved to Mexico, it has changed. My hair is not falling out any more or less as far as I can tell, but I've only been using the new product for a few weeks. We'll see. It does not have the sense of quality that it had previously. The smell, feel (viscosity), and feel on the scalp in particular have a low impact; previously, I felt my scalp cleaner with the cleanser. Regarding the scalp therapy, it previously had a soothing menthol feel, now is very plain. 'Made in Mexico' is perhaps second only to "Made in China" regarding raising my level of skepticism about an item.

My husband was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata in December. The dermatologist gives him steriod shots in the area. We decided to try Nioxin along with the steriod treatments which are working. There is new growth in the steriod treated area and also along his hairline which we contribute solely to the Nioxin. His hair is also noticably thicker too. This is a great product. It works!

This is an excellent product for someone who has thin hair. My husband has thin hair and he has tendency to lose hair.He is been using it for long now and loves it!!!It leaves the scalp cool, minty feels nice. Expensive but you get what you pay for.
