so much better than my conair Apr 11, 2010
I had always bought conair hair straighteners because i liked them and I thought they worked well, my only issue was that it took way too long for me to straighten my hair. It used to take me about an hour and now with the babyliss it only takes me 15 minutes. I had originally wanted the maxiglide but didn't want to shell out the cash because I didn't know anyone that owned it and was weary. i bought a conair for 80 buck and (grrrr) it was the worst $80 I have ever spent. My sister's hair dresser used it on her and so my sister bought it and I used it once and loved it. I loved that it had five settings : 300, 340, 375, 410 and 450. I usually use the highest setting because my hair is as thick as horse hair. It heats up in like 3 minutes.

Finally, an iron that works on curly hair! Nov 14, 2009
I recently got a "new do" and my stylist used this flat iron on my curly hair after only blowing it dry for a few minutes. If you have curly/wavy hair, you know what a poofy mess we were looking at. I was skeptical, but it worked so quickly and so well that I had her write down the info for me and I went straight home and ordered it. I couldn't wait to use it the minute it came. It heats up in seconds so you don't have to wait around. It has temperature control and a temp. guide chart(on intruction sheet) so you know what setting to use for your hair type. I like that the buttons are on the outside so I don't have to reach inside to turn it off/on. Caution: there isn't a lot of room around the titanium plate and I did get a small burn on my thumb when I bumped it, but I am so used to my old iron that I don't think I was being careful. All in all, this is a great buy and I'm getting one for my sister and my mom!

I was looking for a higher quality/professional flat iron for my hair. I have really thick hair and I love the look when it is straightened, but it would always take me forever with my Conair flat iron. So, I found this flat iron at a reasonable price and it works great! There are five heat settings: 300, 340, 375, 410 and 450. I always use the highest setting because my hair is so thick and it works fast! It heats up in ten minutes and it only takes me about fifteen minutes to straighten my hair. It has cut my straightening time in half! I love it and the blue color is really pretty. The blades are definitely big enough for thick hair. This product is worth the price!

My wife destroyed hers on a trip to Switzerland. I looked at the name brand and such without her knowing to order it for her birthday. I got her this same one because she loved the one she messed up and she loves this one the same. Exactly what I ordered and good ship time. Thanks again...yet another enjoyable Amazon transaction.
